East Keenan Plant

Keenan Water Supply made operational the new East Keenan Water Plant consisting of:
1. New 1,000 ft. deep, 450 GPM water well located near the new schools on east Keenan Cut-off.
2. New water plant consisting of 100,000 gal storage tank, 10,000 gal pressure tank with 3 booster pumps, including a chlorination system, generator and building located near the new schools on east Keenan Cut-off. Work was completed in April 0f 2017 and brought on-line. This facility will double our present system capacity.
In late June 2017, the San Jacinto River Authoruty announced that they will be having a water rate increase because the users are using less water to cover their expenditures.
Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District also announced a rate increase effective January 2018 for the same reason.
